Brass Wire Premium 99.9% Pure Half Hard Round Solid Uncoated 14 to 22 Gauge Coiled
This wire is called rich low brass, or jeweler's brass. The alloy is 85% copper and 15% zinc. The melting point is 1877 degrees F. It resembles gold when new. It will tarnish over time. It can be kept bright with any commercial cleaner, such as Brasso. It can also be oxidized to darken it with commercial products such as Jax, or liver of sulfur. You can then buff it to highlight it. This wire will match my brass rings. The temper is half hard, nice for ear wires and applications that require more strength.
